20 years ago when I first launched out as a home based massage/Bowen therapist I knew this was what I wanted to do more than anything else,
so I learned everything I could and now I run an abundant home-based massage biz.
A business that I love. A business that helps other people. A business that has given me the time and resources to support myself and my children without worrying about where the next paycheck was coming from.
And through this (laborious) journey, I learned there were a few key factors to ensuring you were successful – or ensuring you never would be.

I have been involved in compliance for nearly 30 years. Through risk management and WH&S in the corporate world to training, assessment and policy development in my own massage business and for numerous RTO’s.
I recently left the RTO sector after becoming disheartened by the dollar being put before quality training. I now run “back to basic” training at the Australian Academy of Professional Massage . I understand that most therapists want to do the right thing but that both time, isolation and gaps in knowledge put them at risk.
The whole focus of my training is to start at the beginning. Assume nothing, start from scratch, keep it simple and give you the tools you need to run a safe, professional practice as well as meet your legal requirements.
I have been working as a therapist for 10 years and have extensive experience in large, small, mobile and corporate massage work and my passion is about sharing my knowledge with the industry and supporting one another without being precious about or skills. My aim is to learn something new every day.
